Advanced plant Habitat: A derivation of NASA info : Overview
Advanced Plant Habitat !!!!!!!! The Advanced plant habitat is a fully automated facility that will be used to conduct plant bioscience research on the International Space station. The system was developed by NASA and ORBITEC. The systems components are managed by and processed for flight at the agency's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Located in the Kibo module on the ISS, the APH was designed for a 10-year mission for colleting physiological data of plant responses to the spaceflight environment. This data will improve our understanding of how terrestrial biology responds to reduced gravity which is useful for enabling the manned exploration of space.
